The Language Centre is a closed centre for the CAE, BEC and CPE. This means that only unibz students and internal staff members can register for these exams.
Two levels are available at unibz
Cambridge Advanced (CAE) and Proficiency (CPE) assess your command of General English in listening and speaking, writing and reading. Obviously both exams are recognized by unibz.
Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) - CEFR level C1
The CAE offers a lower-advanced language qualification mainly for those who need English for a variety of purposes, such as young professionals living and working in an English-speaking context. Many universities recognize CAE as an English-language entry requirement.
C1 Business Higher (BEC Higher) - CEFR level C1
The BEC Higher is comparable to the CAE , but is used to certify proficiency in Business English. It is the preferred exam of many elite business schools and multinational companies around the world.
Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) - CEFR Level C2
The CPE offers a prestigious certification and is the ideal certification for most purposes in order to show a very advanced command of the English language. Many universities recognize CPE as an English-language entry requirement
Cambridge Assessment English and the British Council define the exam calendar for all centres worldwide. unibz typically offers three exam sessions per year. The CAE is typically offered during the Autumn, and the CPE and BEC Higher are typically offered during the Spring.
Due to the health emergency we inform you that the international certification exam sessions will not take place for the whole year 2020.
Students who want to take the CAE exam in December 2020, can contact Alpha Beta Piccadilly in Bozen-Bolzano: they offer two different exam dates (5 December 2020 and 12 December 2020). Exam fee: €235,00.
