Whether you're a student or researcher, if you have an innovative idea or a budding startup, unibz wants to hear from you. The 2024 Call 4 Startup is an opportunity to showcase your entrepreneurial ventures and receive valuable support and mentorship to turn your ideas into reality.

The Call 4 Startup is part of the PNRR project iNEST covering topics from Smart Industries and Agri-food solutions, Health Tech, Sustainable living to Tourism and Technologies for Natural Ecosystems.

We welcome Startup from early-stage concepts to 2-year-old established companies looking to scale up.

City of Bolzano Award for the Best Thesis: 1st Edition – Year 2024
In collaboration with the University of Bozen-Bolzano, the Municipality of Bolzano establishes the 'City Award' for the best thesis. All graduates can participate, provided that the thesis concerns the city of Bolzano.
The aim is to encourage young people to approach Public Administration, to enhance study and research, and to strengthen innovation processes through research support and to promote the importance of the University in the education of young people who will create the future of the city.
The following prizes are planned: 1) two bachelor's degree awards for graduates, amounting to €1.000 each. 2) two awards of €2.000 each for master's degree graduates.

Call for proposals “Bachelor's and Master's theses on South Tyrolean economy”The IER - Institute for Economic Research of the Chamber of Commerce of Bolzano/Bozen supports students who conduct research on topics related to the South Tyrolean economy in their bachelor or master thesis. The thesis must not be completed at the time of registration. The three best research concepts are awarded with 1,500 euros each.
Period: The call for proposals will be held in two editions per year: one in the winter semester and one in the summer semester. A maximum of three prizes may be awarded per edition.

Claudia Augusta Award
The Italian Provincial Library "Claudia Augusta" in Bolzano establishes an award for bachelor's, master's, doctoral, master's, and specialization theses of provincial interest, in order to collect and document the various aspects of local life and culture, disseminating knowledge thereof. All individuals enrolled in Italian or European universities who have written a thesis of provincial interest in Italian and/or English are eligible for the award.
The following prizes are planned: 15 prizes of €625.00 gross for master's, doctoral, master's, and specialization theses. 10 prizes of €375.00 gross for bachelor's theses.
