The Intensive Language Courses are the first step into your student life at unibz. To help you make the most of this experience, we organise a variety of social, cultural and outdoor activities throughout the language courses.

To ensure a great experience for all participants, make sure to get your free ticket as there are limited places available for most of the activities we offer. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't miss out on the opportunity to join the activities.

As many activities take place outdoors, the programme may be adapted or cancelled in case of bad weather. Any changes will be communicated through the programme below.

How to get your ticket

To participate in activities with limited places (marked with *), you need to collect a free ticket. You can collect your ticket:

  • after the Info Sessions 
  • at lunchtime in front of the UniMensa
  • at the Infopoint during the Student Support opening times (Tuesday: 14:00-16:00 and Thursday: 10:00-12:00)

Can't make it anymore?

If your plans change or you can no longer attend an activity, please return your ticket. This will allow us to offer your place to another student and give more people the opportunity to participate.

02 Wednesday

Join a guided tour of Bozen-Bolzano's historic city centre and discover its rich merchant heritage. Wander through its charming streets while learning about the traders and merchants who shaped the city, making it a crossroads of culture and commerce in the heart of South Tyrol.

03 Thursday

Discover one of Bozen-Bolzano's most significant historical sites and learn how the city was shaped between 1918 and 1945 through an engaging permanent exhibition beneath the Victory Monument.

04 Friday - SOLD OUT

Join us for dinner at the historic Batzen Häusl, one of Bozen-Bolzano's most popular meeting places. Enjoy traditional South Tyrolean cuisine, the brewery's own craft beers and a lively atmosphere!

sh.asus is a non-profit association. It provides student counselling as well as info on study grants and accommodation. It also organises cultural events like parties, film nights and educational trips.

💡Student tip: If you come back on Tuesdays, you can take advantage of the special student discounts offered at the Batzen. 

How to get there

For most of our activities the meeting point will be at the A building (in front of the main entrance of the Bozen-Bolzano City centre Campus, Universitätsplatz 1-piazza Università, 1). There, you will meet our Student Ambassadors, who will accompany the group to the activity venue.

Of course, you are also welcome to make your own way to the activity. If you do, please arrive a few minutes early so you can easily spot the Student Ambassadors and the rest of the group. For activities requiring admission, don't forget to bring your ticket.

Getting around South Tyrol

Some of our activities involve travelling around Bozen-Bolzano and the surrounding area. Whenever possible, we will use public transport—the easiest and most sustainable way to explore South Tyrol. We suggest buying the südtirolmobil Pass. You can travel on the entire public transportation network in South Tyrol and on regional trains up to Trento for a whole year students under 26 can purchase the U26 Pass for €153 per year.

Transart26

If you're under 30, you can benefit from discounted tickets for selected events.

Mental Health Festival
The Mental Health Festival invites all those to come together for one day and celebrate our mental health! Whether it's a first time drop-in or a full immersion together with your friends, at the Mental Health Festival you can participate in many workshops throughout the day, get inspired by exciting talks and try out new things. 
Summer Edition on the 12th and 13th of September.
