Online Master thesis defense for double degree

Today Maximilian Licht, student of the double degree program in Industrial Mechanical Engineering, presented his master thesis on “Mobility Transition in Rural Areas” online.

Maximilian Licht is one of the students who chose the curriculum “Logistics and Production” for the Master program of the Industrial Mechanical Engineering, which is offered as a double degree program by the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano together with the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering). The student from Germany spent 2019 a semester in Bozen-Bolzano and was today the first student of the course who defended his master thesis online.

In his thesis “Mobility Transition in Rural Areas – Politics and Policies for a bottom-up Transition Model” Maximilian Licht developed descriptors and a bottom-up transition model for rural mobility to provide recommendations for actions on a global, EU, national and local level. “We wish him a bright future”, says degree course director prof. Renato Vidoni, “as our International Master offers many career opportunities, providing our students with traditional and modern engineering tools to pursue a career as a consultant or to work in manufacturing, mechanical, mechatronic and logistics companies.”
