Slow re-opening measures
We’re looking ahead as university moved with the beginning of this week into phase 2 of the re-opening phase. Lectures and events in our buildings are still not possible at this stage.
On Monday, the so-called phase 1 of the lockdown moved into phase 2, in which the first re-opening measures take place at the university. Most importantly, the university will still remain closed to the public and thus also to students in phase 2, which might last until 31 August 2020.
Administrative and teaching activities will continue in online mode as before. Gradually, however, laboratory activities in the research laboratories and research activities in the field can be taken up.
All events planned in phase 2 will be cancelled but can be offered in digital form if applicable. Also, the university libraries will remain closed until 31 May. However, you can reserve media which will be handed over at the university entrance at defined collection times and completely contactless. More information on this can be found here.
The health of the university community being the top priority for the University management, we are going to focus on taking all necessary safety precautions to reduce the risk of infection for everyone to a minimum.
