Many students and graduates aspire to an internship or career in the field of the European Union. However, it is not always easy to find one’s way around and find the right path to one’s goal.
To learn more about working in these areas and the opportunities available for students, graduates, and young professionals, the fourth series of monthly online meetings dedicated to various professional profiles will continue in April. Guests will share insight into their daily work, the educational and professional journey that led them to Brussels, and offer first-hand advice.
Our next guest is Alessandro Celestino.
Alessandro Celestino is based in Brussels and works as Manager of the Europe Programme at the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) since 2016. RAP is a non-profit organisation and think thank providing independent research and advice on the sustainable energy transition to policymakers, including the European Commission. He is responsible for the operational management and coordination of the Europe programme, covering project and financial management, fundraising and development of proposals for EU-funded programmes such as Horizon Europe and LIFE, as well as EU and national tenders and philanthropy funds.
Before joining RAP, he worked for the Sino-Italian Cooperation Program for Environmental Protection in China, first as Project Supervisor and later as Program Manager, and for the Italian Ministry for the Environment’s EU Task Force in Brussels. Alessandro holds a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza” and a master’s degree in International Management of Cultural and Not-for-Profit Organisations from Università degli Studi di Genova, and speaks Italian, English, German, French and upper-intermediate Chinese.
The event will be held in English and is open to unibz students, PhDs and professors.

Important notice for students:
Organising and planning an event requires time, effort and dedication from everyone involved, including coordinators, participants, speakers and suppliers. There is work behind every event that begins long before the event itself, involving financial, logistical and personnel resources.
For this reason, we ask you to respect the commitment of those organising these events. If you sign up for an event but are unable to attend for any reason, please inform us at least three days in advance. This will help to avoid inconvenience and disappointment for those preparing to present or run the event.
Additionally, for events that include catering or other supplies, the financial aspect must also be considered: food and materials are purchased based on the number of registrations. Last-minute cancellations do not always allow us to avoid waste.
Therefore, we ask that you register only if you are certain that you can attend. If your availability changes, please notify us promptly.
This will enable us to continue offering high-quality events and to respect the work of those who contribute to organising them.
Thank you for your cooperation!
