Study Plan

Free choice, mandatory optional and extracurricular courses

Free choice Courses

All current Bachelor and Master students must earn 12 credit points on free choice courses during their studies.

In choosing your free choice courses, you must decide which topics best fit your interests and professional objectives.

You will receive a specific e-mail from the Faculty Secretariat at the beginning of each semester with the list of the free choice courses and the deadlines for selecting/changing them. Afterwards you can select/change your free choice courses through my SNS. Only after adding the course to your study plan, you will be able to enrol for the corresponding exam.

Mandatory Optional Courses

If the study regulations require it, you must select the mandatory optional courses.

You will receive a specific e-mail from the Faculty Secretariat at the beginning of each semester with the list of mandatory optional courses you can select from.

Afterwards you can select/change the mandatory optional courses through my SNS.

Extracurricular courses

If you select more than 12 credit points as free choice courses, please remember that you have to communicate to the Faculty Secretariat which courses you would like to take as free choice courses and which ones as extracurricular.

If you do not communicate your choice to the Faculty Secretariat, the 12 credit points as free choice courses will be determined according to the chronological order in which they are taken: the first exams you take until you reach the 12 credit points will count as free choice exams; the exams you do afterwards will be classified as extracurricular courses.

Extracurricular courses will appear in your study career but will not be included in the calculation of your grade point average.

NOTE THAT, ONCE YOU HAVE PASSED THE EXAM, THE STATUS OF THE COURSE (= MANDATORY OPTIONAL / FREE CHOICE / EXTRACURRICULAR) CANNOT BE CHANGED!
