IELTS Academic


The Language Centre is a semi-open centre for the IELTS Academic. This means that both internal and external candidates may register to take the IELTS Academic at unibz on the official IELTS website.

Four good reasons for taking the IELTS Academic exam

  1. IELTS is the preferred exam by most academic and public institutions throughout the world.
  2. The IELTS exam will grant you admission to most English-language study programmes in the world.
  3. Preparing for the IELTS exam will help improve your Academic English and study skills for university.
  4. The British Council will provide you with a certificate that attests to the language proficiency you have attained in English.

International English Language Testing System - Academic

The IELTS Academic assesses your command of Academic English and particular study skills in listening and speaking, writing and reading. Obviously this exam is recognized by unibz.

It offers a band score that certifies any level of proficiency (CEFR level A2-C1) mainly for those who need English for study purposes. Most universities throughout the world recognize IELTS as an English-language entry requirement.

Availability: max 30 enrolments - you can register  only if you have registered for the preparation course. 

NB: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a maximum of 30 candidates can sit the exam at unibz. Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis and once the maximum number of spots has been filled, the registration link below will be closed.
Please note that the British Council are responsible for organizing the exam and unibz provide the rooms, so please contact the British Council if you have any questions about the administration aspects of the exam.

Please note that you will need to upload when registering must be in colour.

  • Your scanned identity document must contain:
  • your ID number
  • your signature
  • your date of birth
  • your photograph
  • your ID expiry date
  • scanned identity document must be in colour
  • Your scanned document must be in JPEG, GIF or PNG format.
  • The dimensions must be smaller than 1600 by 1600 pixels and the file size should be 1.5MB or less.
