This seminar will explore the role of self-compassion in improving emotional well-being, particularly among university students.
The session will begin by introducing the core principles of self-compassion - self-kindness, mindfulness, and common humanity. Participants will engage with the Mindful Self-Compassion Workbook, adapted for an online format, and discuss how these techniques can be applied to reduce anxiety, depression, and stress, as well as improve emotional resilience. Practical exercises will be included, focusing on applying self-compassion in everyday challenges, especially in high-pressure academic environments.
