Modalities and content
The thesis consists of:
- Project with a Professor/Researcher or a Internship in a company
- a written thesis report
1) The work for the thesis is carried out during the project or the internship. The topic must be the analysis, the design, the development or the testing of a specific information system. The project or internship comprises 6 CP of work – 150 hours (for students enrolled from 2020 onwards) or 9 CP of work - 225 hours (for students enrolled till 2019 and before), so you must start it well before the graduation date.
Difference between Thesis Internship and Thesis Project
- Thesis Internship: external activity carried out at a private or public structure (company, public administration...) under the supervision of a professor and of a company tutor; it facilitates future professional choices by allowing students to have a direct interaction with a working environment; At least 2 weeks before starting the Thesis Internship you must hand in the required documents at the Career Service.
- Thesis Project: internal activity during which students autonomously develop a scientific research under the supervision of a professor and in the context of the activities carried out at the Faculty: its focus is mainly on planning, communication and teamwork skills. For the thesis project with a professor/researcher there are no longer forms to fill in
2) The content of the thesis report is the processing, the evaluation and the documentation of the work done during the project/internship of the achieved results.
