Internship and Project - Bachelor

internship and project

Bachelor students can choose between an Internship and a Project.

Difference between Internship and Project:

  • Internship: external activity carried out at a private or public structure (company, public administration...) under the supervision of a professor and of a company tutor; it facilitates future professional choices by allowing students to have a direct interaction with a working environment.
  • Project: internal activity during which students autonomously develop a scientific research under the supervision of a professor and in the context of the activities carried out at the Faculty: its focus is mainly on planning, communication and teamwork skills

Difference between Free Choice Project/Internship and Mandatory Project/Internship

  • Free choice Internship or project: can be done in the 5th semester.if a student want to start the Free Choice Internship or Project before the beginning of the 5th semester (e.g. in the Summer) she/he has to bring a motivated request to submit to the Course Council
  • Mandatory Internship or Project: can be done in the 6th semester. This Internship or Project has to be done for the thesis: the thesis is always based on an Internship or Project and requires also the writing of the written dissertation

Students can choose

  • a Free choice Internship or Project to 6 CP = 150 hours
  • a Free choice Internship or Project to 12 CP = 300 hours
