Enrolment as Part-Time Student
Are you a student looking to balance your studies with other activities or commitments? Enrolling as a part-time student could be the ideal solution for you.
What is part-time enrolment?
Part-time enrolment allows you to reduce your study workload per semester, giving you more time for other activities such as work, sports, or personal or familiar commitments. You will take a reduced number of courses while still having access to all the services provided by the university (subject to approval by the ministry).
Period for submitting registrations
Mid-October to mid-December (first-year students must already be enrolled)
Benefits of part-time enrolment
- Reduced ECTS credits: You will acquire fewer ECTS credits per academic year (typically 30 instead of 60).
- Extended study duration: Your study programme will take longer to complete (Bachelor: 6 years standard period of study instead of 3, Master: 4 years standard period of study instead of 2).
- Lower tuition fees: Your annual tuition fees will be halved.
How to register
- Check the regulations: Review the requirements and conditions for part-time enrolment in the university regulation.
- Complete the application form: Fill in the request form by the specified deadlines (available from October).
Conditions
- You can opt for part-time enrolment at the start of the academic year if your study programme allows it.
- Choosing part-time enrolment does not affect the standard course duration for pension purposes (bachelor 3 years, master 2 years).
- You can achieve a maximum of 42 credits per Academic Year.
- You may request to switch to full-time only after completing two years in part-time.
- You may switch between full-time and part-time up to a maximum of two times.
