Sustainability regarding all aspects of everyday life is a global issue and is becoming increasingly important every day. A large number of researchers worldwide is working on research projects aiming at sustainability in environmental, engineering and socio-economic sectors. In the new edition of the Library Journal, the unibz Library in collaboration with researchers of the Faculty of Science and Technology examines different unibz research projects dealing with sustainability, ranging from plant diseases to the sustainable construction of buildings. Moreover, researchers and librarians give their personal opinion on sustainability issues and share tips for a more sustainable lifestyle. The Journal also includes reading suggestions as well as information about technical standards and databases.

This is the ninth edition of the Library Journal, all back issues are available online. Each edition of the Library Journal features one unibz faculty and examines relating research topics as well as the Library’s targeted offers. For this most recent edition, the focus is on the Faculty of Science and Technology.
