The Competence Centre for Plant Health celebrates today its first anniversary
01.07.2020 marks the birth of the Competence Centre for Plant Health. Let's review together the most important milestones of this first year of activity.
The Competence Centre for Plant Health was established on 01.07.2020 as a temporary academic organizational unit of the University directed to carry out research activities in the field of Plant Health focusing on three different research areas (i.e. abiotic and biotic factors and technology and management).
In November 2020 five researchers and professors of the Faculty of Science and Technology joined the Centre as members: Prof. Fabrizio Mazzetto, Prof. Guido Orzes, Prof. Luisa Petti, Dr. Hannes Schuler, Prof. Renato Vidoni.
In February 2021 the first post-doc in agricultural chemistry dr. Mauro Maver was hired.
In March 2021 the first two project proposals were submitted.
In June 2021 the first post-doc in applied and general entomology dr. Abdelhameed Moussa was hired.
On June 22nd 2021 the first presentation of the Centre took place at the Laimburg Research Centre.
