Workshop Courses

Compulsory Introductory Workshops for 2025 Cohort Onwards

From the 2025 cohort onwards, all students are required to attend the introductory workshop courses offered in the first semester. Participation in these workshops is mandatory, as they serve as a prerequisite for accessing the specialised workshop courses offered later in the programme. In addition, attendance at the Safety training (Work Safety – Machinery Hazard – Chemical Risk) is compulsory before students can participate in any workshop courses.

Beginning in the second semester, students must attend at least one specialised workshops course.

Course contents and examination modalities

The syllabi for all courses available within the programme are accessible online. Detailed descriptions of each course, including their content, objectives, examination modalities, and requirements, can be found by visiting the dedicated section of the website: "Course Offering"

Language Courses 47220 and 47221

In your study plan, you are required to complete either an Italian (47220) or German (47221) language course, which carries 3 CP (credit points).

  • Italian and German language courses with a minimum level of A1.1 offered by the unibz Language Centre are recognised as equivalent to the courses 47220 Italian and 47221 German.
  • International language certifications for Italian and German that are recognised by unibz and obtained within the last five years are also accepted as substitutes for courses 47220 Italian and 47221 German.

Please note that neither courses nor certifications can be in the main language of your high school diploma.

How to do?

  • If you have attended Italian and German language courses at a minimum level of A1.1 through the unibz Language Centre, you should request a certificate of attendance from the Language Centre. Once received, send this certificate via e-mail to design-art@unibz.it. Please do not upload the certificate of attendance to mySNS.
  • If you possess an international language certification, upload your certification to mySNS as explained here and also notify us by e-mail.
  • If you have a BA degree from unibz (with exit language requirements of two languages at C1 level and a third language at B2 level), your language levels are already recorded in our system and we will retrieve them directly.

The recognition of the exam will be registered during the next exam session.
